This story takes place in the world of “Little Fears,” created by the amazing Jason Blair.
Clickclickclickclick-click-click-click Where is the sound coming from? It reverberates. It’s everywhere and nowhere. Echoing
through
the
dark.
Through
the
nothingness.
Clickclickclick-click-click… clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick… I feel it all over. Each click causes the world to shudder and shake. Microquakes traverse my existence, both physical and mental.
That sound is familiar. I heard it once before. Right after I woke up here. But it only lasted about a second. I wish I knew where “here” is. I haven’t moved since I woke up. More specifically, I can’t move. I’ve tried. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Something is keeping me immobile, frozen. I guess that my imprisonment was designed to terrify me. I was hysterical at first. Soundlessly screaming in abject terror. Over time, though, that pungent, electric fear gave way to pervasive disquiet. All I feel now is a soft blanket of dread. Forced to endure… this… in lightless petrified solitude. Clickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclickclick… Click. Whirrrrrrrrrrrr……. I don’t know how long I’ve been in this place. There’s no night and day. I can’t see anything. I know it’s been a long time, cause it’s getting harder to remember things. My mom one told me that it gets hard to remember things as time goes on. I remember my roller skates. They were electric blue. With New Kids on the Block stickers on them. I remember jumping in leaf piles. I remember my friend’s glittery headband. We were laughing. I remember dancing to Roxette’s “The Look” when it came on the radio. I remember playing hide and seek. I ran up to my friend’s closet. Then… Nothing. Icy nothing. Click – Click – Click. Snik! CR E A K! C L A N G!!! And one again, nothingness starts to swallow me. But this time it’s warm. And strong. I let go. ……………………………………………………………………………………. “Oh thank god, you’re still here. I’m so sorry it took so long. The combination to the safe was really hard to find. The Boogeyman didn’t want anyone or anything to find it. Some of the knights gave up returned to the butterfly fields. But I made you a promise thirty years ago and a knight keeps his word.” The little butterfly flutters weakly against the boy’s chest. “You don’t remember much now do you? That’s OK. My name is Kendra. I’m the leader of the Butterfly Knights. And I’m here to take you home.”
It’s been a while hasn’t it? There is way to much for me to just sum up so I’m gonna spread this out over a few episodes. Cause why the heck not, Right?
Well I had some great ideas. Fantastic ideas.
And I sit to record them and I go absolutely blank!
So I decided to kind of ramble on about that.
Then I decided to talk about something more interesting, my new desktop!
Then I mention that I’m going to be on the coolest Twitch Live Stream this Friday, December 8th at 9pm Eastern time. My Little Pony, Tales of Equestria
Be a friend, and join us won’t you? It’s looking to be freaking awesome
I must be a glutton for punishment. I’m doing it again.
Welcome to my first episode in the Dog Days of Podcasting challenge.
I’m going to probably end up running my mouth like crazy for the next 30 days, so it’s only fair to give you a warning.
The intro music is all thanks to Prism Shard. Go and give them some love.
